Whois Privacy
Enabling whois privacy will protect the information you submitted on the registration
form. Your domain registration information, including the Administrative,
Billing
and Technical contacts are masked with generic information within public WHOIS
databases. You still retain full ownership and control of your domain name.
NOTE: This feature is only available to GTLD domain types (.com,
.net, .org, .info, .biz etc.)
For dot-ca domains Whois privacy managed by dot-ca registry.
1. Individual Registrants have Whois privacy ON by default, and can turn the
privacy ON/OFF anytime.
2. Non-individual Registrants have the Whois privacy OFF by default. If a
non-individual registrant wishes to request privacy protection, a representative
should visit CIRA's website and refer to the Request for Privacy Protection online
form and instructions.
Lock
Domain lock prevents your domain from being transfered. This is a security feature
intended to help protect your domain from "highjackers". If you want to transfer
your domain out to another registrar, you must first unlock it. By default,
domains registered with us are automatically locked.
